McNeil
Clare McNeil is one of the UK's leading experts on labour markets and the future of work. She is Chief Executive of Timewise Foundation, the UK's foremost authority on job quality and flexible working.
Clare came to Timewise from IPPR (Institute for Public Policy Research), where over a decade as Associate Director she led research on work, welfare, economic security and public services, publishing more than twenty essays, chapters and pamphlets along the way. While at IPPR she founded Workwhile, an initiative working with employers to create apprenticeships for disadvantaged young people, and has worked as an adviser to the Cabinet Office, UK government.
Clare is a passionate believer that the future of the economy will be shaped as much by what happens inside the workplace as by any macro policy lever — and that work design is one of the most underinvested tools we have for driving productivity, inclusion and growth.
