Lisbet Hope Portman works with Ashoka US as the Director of Venture & Fellowship. Prior to joining Ashoka in 2022, she brings 16 years of experience in non-profits working at intersections of addiction and mental health reform, education, and environmental justice. Lisbet has co-founded two non-profits focused on arts education and criminal justice reform, and currently serves on the board of Violence Prevention Network in the US, and the advisory council for Building Common Ground. Lisbet holds an M.F.A. in Nonfiction Writing from the University of Montana and a B.A. in American Studies from Smith College.
